Casa Basics

( Furniture Magazine Design )

The theme of my magazine was furniture and home design. I mainly wanted to explore minimalist home styles such as wabi-sabi, mid-century modern, and industrial design styles. Through my magazine, I aimed to bring awareness to minimalist home design. The design style I used throughout the magazine also favored simplicity and was in line with the magazine’s theme. My target audience was furniture and product design enthusiasts, as well as people who wanted to do some research and find inspiration for their home interior decoration. The main age group of the audience was young people, probably between 23-40 years old.
Dieter Rams’ 10 Principles of Good Design

( Booklet Design )


The aim of this project was to design a small booklet based on Dieter Rams' 10 design pricipals. Influenced by Dieter Rams' minimalist style, I also used a minimalist design style for this project, aided by the color palette that he used so much in his product design.
Cheer Cup

( Brand Guide Manual Design )





























This work aimed to create a brand guide manual for a company that sells cups. The overall goal of the brand was to alleviate people's body image anxiety. Therefore, I chose circular and rounded shapes as the primary design elements throughout the brand guide manual to provide a sense of security to the audience. At the same time, using bright colors aligned with the brand's intention to convey strength and positive emotions. As a result, this brand guide manual better aligned with the brand's image and positioning.
Cheongsam

( Zine Design )







The zine for this project was based on an interview with the owner of a cheongsam store in New York. I maintained a retro style in the overall design, making the design more in line with the age-old history and culture of the cheongsam. I not only used a color that represents Chinese style—red—but also heavily used serif fonts, which helped me showcase the elegance of women and femininity.
